My country has a border

My country has a river that borders Chile’s sewer
system.
At night one can see lights from its shore
they may be from police stations or distilleries.
One hears music and women laughing out loud.
Daybreak.
A trail in the water
left by a coypu 
in its nightly crossing of the river

Mi país limita

Mi país tiene un río que limita con el resumidero de
Chile.
Por las noches se encienden luces en su orilla
que pueden ser de cuarteles de policía o destilerías.
Se escucha música y mujeres que ríen muy fuerte.
Amanece.
Queda un surco en el agua 
dejado por un coipo 
en su cruce nocturno por el río.
